Keith Richards & Anita Pallenberg

Summer festival season has officially started in London and I am packing my suitcase to fly out to Big Ben tomorrow. How exciting!!! I came across this article on British Vogue about festival inspirations from the sixties and seventies and was inspired by it. I'm loving Joplin's bell tied to her suede skirt, Mitchell's simple jersey dress and belt, Jerry Hall's wooden and feathered head piece, Pallenberg's tribal talisman necklace, Twiggy's hair, and Jane Birkin's perfection. Fingers crossed and hoping for blue skies and sun shinny London days.

Photographers Bjarne Jonasson, Hugh Lippe, Seiji Fujimori, Ryan Yoon, Tim Zaragoza, David Schulze, Sebastian Mader, Rony Shram, Chek Wu and Erik Swain recreates iconic looks for the premier issue of Virgine magazine. With twenty models and stylists, Hissa Igarashi, they managed to reintroduce iconic figures from the likes of Audrey Hepburn to Grace Jones. The attitude that these icons carry are so strongly protruded through their identity and each boldly different than the other. They are interesting and not uniformed! Talking about it makes me want to time travel back in time.

As usual, my dad was listening to his music in the living room. When I asked him what he was listening to, he told me that I needed to learn Andrea Bocelli's Somos Novios so that he and I can sing the song as a duet someday. I am familiar with the song but hearing the title of the song planted an immediate crave of wanting to hear it again and this is when I noticed something unexpected. I saw my Dad's sweet Beats headphones! I was looking at those headphones at the apple store not too long ago and was only able to put it in my wish list. I asked my dad, "Do you know who Dr. Dre is Dad?" He smiled and said yes but I knew he didn't so I started educating him on Dre. As soon as I finished talking, my Dad smiled even wider and with bewildering eyes said, "I have the beat box speakers too!" Hahaha... Incredible. After all these years, I now know where I got my 'cool-genes' from.

My little man is not so little anymore. Celebrating Ali's first double digits! We blew candles, sang songs and opened pressies during our family's traditional birthday breakfast this morning. The big 1-0... I love you and your totally awesome cake man! ;)

Train is an American rock band from San Francisco, California, formed in 1994. Their hit song, 'Hey Soul Sister', from the album Save Me, San Franscisco is not the only track that I have become attached to. I find the lyrics in 'Breakfast in Bed' blissful!

Breakfast In Bed
By Train

California, dancing in the ocean
How I love you, better with some lotion
Sun is always shining.
No one compares to you.

Sidney baby, young and like a flower
How I want you, give me just an hour.
You seem like an angel.
No one compares to you.

You're the best book I ever read.
You're the smartest thing I ever said.
You're breakfast in bed.

When in Norway you can do me more ways
Than any other you treat me like a mother loves her baby
Baby, do I do it for you?
Oh, 'cause all I ever wanted, baby, was baby to do it for you.

You're the best dream in my head.
You're my calm thought when I see red.
You're better than punk rock cred.

You're breakfast in bed.
You're breakfast in bed.
You're breakfast in bed.

Wanna please you, wanna Japanese you
How I need you, dress you up and feed you.
Love you like a daddy loves his baby, baby do it for me.

You're the fastest race I ever led.
You're the finest bride I'll ever wed.
You're the skin I never wanna shed.

You're breakfast in bed.
You're breakfast in bed.
You're breakfast in bed.

I was browsing The Trend Boutique, an online shopping site, when I discovered these Harlow arrows. Nicole Richie's new House of Harlow collection of arrows are just too adorable to miss. Its' simplicity and minimal ethnic details prove that less is more. I have always been a big fan of mixing silver and gold accessories together which makes these gold plated, silver and rose gold arrows perfect.

These massive oil on canvas paintings are extremely vibrant and magnetic! Francoise Nielly's palette knife incisive technique brings modernity to her paintings. This Parisian based artist has been painting for 20 years never failing to express strong and almost fiery images. I like how she manages to emphasize her portrait paintings with fluorescent colors yet is still able to capture the dramatic emotions of her subjects. So in love with her work! I want her to paint my sisters and I so that I can one day display it in my future living room. Hahaha... *wishful thinking*

Here are some doggie portraits I found in Nielly's website. Wanted to share it just because dogs are awesome!
